When did we become a nation of whiners? Why do we put up with them? Seriously. Specifically I'm talking about the employed whiners of America. You get a paycheck to do a job. If you can't do that job, quit and move on. Don't blame it on your employer. When did employers start babying all the whiners? When exactly did they stop saying, "shut up or quit"? You would not believe the crap we put up with from employees.
My eye doctor says I'm sensitive to the light on my monitor and I need a shaded screen to put over it.
So go buy yourself one. Why is that your employers responsibility?
I have carpel tunnel and need one of those ergonomic keyboards for my PC.
Again, what's your point? Go buy your own.
The toilet paper in the restrooms is too harsh and causes chaffing. You have to put something softer in the stalls.
Are you kidding me???
It's too cold in this part of the building, can you get me a space heater?
No. Shut up. Dress warmer.
Why is it always so warm over here? Can't we turn the air down?
And make everyone else miserable because YOU have hot flashes? Bring in a fan ya moron.
I don't like my supervisor. Can Jane and I change groups so I can be under Sally instead?
No. But here's a change I think will work for all of us...you're fired.
I'm addicted to nicotine and need to take a break to feed my habit, every 60 minutes, for 10 minutes. Is that a problem?
Yes. Yes it is. Unless of course you plan to work an extra hour every day. Oh, you don't? Then I'm only going to pay you for 7 hours of work. Oh that's right, you're a union worker! Well you can go right ahead then - is there anything else I can do for you?
Do you know what it means to live in a "right to work" state? There are 22 states that have a right to work statute in place. Basically it means, if you are employed in one of the 22 states that has a Right to Work law, you cannot be required to join or pay dues or fees to a union. My state just passed a bill yesterday making this a Right to Work state. The Union has been protesting at the State House for 2 days now. Tough. Shame on them for being such bullies. There was a time/reason for Unions but that time has passed. hahahaha, that's a whole different rant though :-)
