Flashback Friday

This is sort of a cheat but I’m only going to ‘flashback’ to LAST Friday.

Last Friday was BLACK FRIDAY. Woooooo. I’ve only shopped ONCE the morning of Black Friday. I never did it again. There just isn't anything I want that badly.

But Mom and I look at the ads every year while the turkey is cooking. This year, my man was interested in the Gander Mountain and Dick’s Sporting Goods ads.

At Gander Mountain, they had a 22 rifle and 22 handgun amo for a ridiculous price. He wanted it. Bad. There was a 5 box limit on the amo though. So, being the totally awesome wife that I am, I actually volunteered to get up early Friday and go with him, so I could purchase 5 boxes too. They opened at 5AM. Which meant we would need to get up at 4:00 in the morning! What???!!!???!!! Ugh. But hey, I could always go back to sleep when we got home. He said, that would be great honey! But we don’t have to go early. Just, you know, whenever we get up. HAHHAHAHAHAHA. Obviously he’s had NO Black Friday experience. To his credit though, he caught on quickly and said OK. So, we got up at 4AM and showed up at Gander Mountain at 10 till 5. The parking lot was full of pickup trucks and rednecks. I laughed heartily! Oh, and there was a line. Once inside, he decided against the rifle but we did buy 5 boxes of amo, each. AND he got a free flashlight. He was pretty excited about that. He has a thing for flashlights. (and watches and guns) By the number of people crowded around the amo shelves, I’m guessing that all the 22 was gone by the time we got back out to our pickup truck. We were home by 5:30. Whew. Well, now we can both say we've truly shopped on Black Friday.
