Embracing technology

I grew up watching the Jetsons. I wanted to live that life...robots...flying cars...jet packs. I fully expected to have my own jet pack by now! Really! It is almost 2015!

I love all the gadgets out there. I have Photoshop. I have the coolest digital drawing pad. I have an iPhone and a Kindle and Netflix and Pandora and know how to stream them on my TV. I also bought an Amazon Fire stick for the TV in the library/craft-room. And dammit, my open mindedness won out over 1984 and when my "invitation" arrived to order Echo, I thought about it for a day and then I went for it! It came yesterday. I haven't busted it out of the box yet. I'm pretty sure my husband is going to scowl. I'm trying to think of a way that will make it appealing to him - you know, hey honey!, all you have to do is say "Echo, where is the nearest shooting range?" and it will tell you! How cool is that!? I say, pretty cool :-)
Bring it! I need more technology! It's so exciting!

And you know what else??? Not only is there chalkboard paint, which would have changed my life as child, but now there's magnetic paint!!! OMG! I could paint the whole back of the door to my library/craft-room and have tons of room for all the refrigerator magnets I'm going to have one day! That's so much better than the oil pan I'm using right now. I LOVE technology!!! This is fun stuff man!
